Millennials Travel Trends: River Cruising
Looking for Millennials Travel Trends? Look no further than www.CruiseExperts.com
While river cruising can be one of the most unique ways to travel, this mode isn’t typically the first go-to option when Millennials and young generations are booking their vacation. Uniworld, however, is setting a course to change this way of thinking. Thanks to U by Uniworld, launching in Europe in early 2018, an exciting, new river cruise brand will be available for Generation Xers and Millennials. Sure to become one of the most popular travel destinations for Millennials, these new river cruises will combine distinctive adventures and experiences with late night activities and overnights in popular ports. Millennials travel trends are vastly different than older generations and Uniworld is incorporating young men and women’s desire for a scenic, social, relaxed and enriching vacation into its new river cruise brand.
Two of the river cruise vessels that will be launched next year include the River Baroness, which will travel the Seine, and the River Ambassador, which will journey through the Danube and Rhine. Décor, cuisine, activities, and excursions will be geared toward younger clientele and will feature extensive social engagement opportunities such as communal dining, large sunbeds for groups on upper decks, hammocks, beanbags, etc.
In addition, a unique ChefMaster culinary opportunity will be available for a select number of cruisers during the trip. This experience offers a complete farm-to-table occasion where cruisers will shop with the chef, cook the food on the vessel and enjoy the meal together, along with local spirits and wine.
U by Uniworld is also planning to create itineraries that will include some of the most popular travel destinations for Millennials. For example, four itineraries will be available during the initial launch year. Each will be seven nights in order to accommodate working Millennials and Gen Xers who perhaps cannot take off additional time. There will be a round-trip Seine itinerary to Paris, a Rhine river cruise from Amsterdam to Frankfurt, a second Rhine route from Frankfurt to Regensburg, and a Danube option from Regensburg to Budapest.
The Paris itinerary includes a Belleville Street Art Tour, Midnight Stroll in Paris opportunity, kayaking experiences on the Seine, a chance to visit Normandy beaches or explore independently, a day in Vernon, and another full day and night in Paris to have more time to enjoy the city’s nightlight and diverse culture.
The Rhine and Danube voyages, sure to be some of the best river cruises in Europe, explore places such as Wurzburg, Miltenberg, Lohr, and Nuremberg. Get VIP access to Anne Frank’s home in Amsterdam, stop by the Old Church Brewery, and take a guided biking tour through an old coal mine. The second available route visits places such as Germany, Linz, Melk, Vienna, Austria, Slovakia and many more.
Sale prices are said to be released soon and the company will offer a variety of accommodation types including single, double and triple. Plus, similar to its sister company Contiki, U by Uniworld will offer a solo traveler pairing option.
