American Cruise Lines’ new fleet of ships is currently under construction at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland. The riverboats will be generously sized at 345 feet long and 60 feet wide, and designed to carry 200 passengers. Reservations are now being accepted for the first riverboat, which is scheduled to begin cruising on the Lower Mississippi River in the fall of 2018. Cruises on Columbia and Snake River are scheduled to begin in 2019. American Cruise Lines ships offer river cruise itineraries throughout the United States, including themed cruises and river cruises on the Mississippi River, Northeast US, Southeast US, the Pacific Northwest, and Alaska.
