Book a dream vacation with Azamara Cruises’ newest ship, the Pursuit.
Cruise lovers who enjoy sailing to South America, Antarctica and Europe will soon have a new luxury vessel to transport them there. Azamara Cruises is excited to announce the purchase of their newest ship, the Azamara Pursuit, which will join their already existing Journey and Quest in late summer, 2018. The Pursuit is an “R” class ship, allowing it to sail into smaller, more unique ports that cannot be reached by larger ocean liners.
Previously a Renaissance and P & O cruise ship, the Azamara Pursuit will undergo a massive overhaul and interior design revamp during March – August of next year. Cruise line representatives stated the ship’s new décor will match Azamara’s “upmarket position.” Changes to the vessel will be similar with recent changes that were implemented on Azamara ships Journey and Quest.
Larry Pimentel, the cruise line’s CEO, wanted to ensure the Azamara Pursuit offered guests extraordinary and distinctive itineraries. To make this happen, itinerary focus will revolve around South America, Europe, the Chilean Fjords and Antarctica. The ship will hold 690 passengers and will visit Lime, Peru, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Santiago, Chile, Brazil, and Rio de Janeiro.
Before the new ship begins its adventures around South America, Amazara cruises on the Pursuit will take place in Europe with stops in England, Iceland, and more remote locations around the Greek Islands.
The company has slated August 3, 2018, as the day Pursuit will debut with a 10-night cruise vacation from Barcelona to Southampton.
If you have never cruised on Azamara, one standout and preferred feature they offer is their Destination Immersion program. This benefit allows cruisers to spend more time in ports of call, allowing them to fully experience the area and not get boxed into a 9 to 5 schedule. Whether you want to take an early morning walk on the French River, spend a full day in a rain forest in Costa Rica, or stay out late at a European nightclub, all of this and more is available on Azamara.
The cruise line also offers many inclusive benefits such as evening events (available on most sailings); standard beer, wine, and spirits; gratuities; water, soft drinks, teas and coffees; self-service laundry; shuttle service where available; and concierge services for personal guidance and reservations.
In addition to offering luxurious and unique sailings in many regions across the world, Azamara is also known for their love for the ocean and giving back to ocean conservation efforts. They have teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund, providing insightful, educational lectures onboard by a host of experts who discuss everything from Whale Sharks, the Botswana landscape, and saving the elephants in Asia.
