The Carnival Sunrise (previously Triumph) is Coming Back with a Bang.
Have you heard about Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Carnival Sunrise? A $200 million makeover on the Carnival Triumph cruise ship is in progress and the ship will be renamed the Carnival Sunrise before its debut.
The Triumph is being transformed and should be completed in the spring of 2019. The entire ship is getting a makeover and many of Carnival’s newest amenities are being added. Cabins are being redesigned and new restaurants and bars will be ready soon. The 2,758 passenger cruise ship has been in dry dock in Spain and when renovations are completed the ship will be renamed the Carnival Sunrise, which will then join Carnival’s other Sunshine class ships.
Out With the Old and In With the New
The ship is being brought up to the high standards of Carnival’s newest ships and is expected to be in service for many years to come. Carnival has been updating their older ships and Triumph was the next in line for a renovation. The ship’s cabins will be upgraded and new cabin category options added.
This beautifully renovated Carnival cruise ship will be offering many types of cabins including a few Spa Cabins and two Captain’s Suites. The Cloud 9 Spa Cabins offer occupants’ complimentary access to the thermal suite; upgraded toiletries, robes and slippers; a two free fitness classes per occupant. You can also select from among the Junior Suites and others, and enjoy the Caribbean inspired décor of soft pastels and vivid colors that all the new cabins will have.
The Cloud 9 Spa features healthy spa treatments in private rooms and a fitness center equipped with weight-training and cardio equipment. The Serenity Deck is for adults only and is a large space where anyone over 21 can relax and unwind in hammocks, loungers and the hot tubs while sipping cocktails from the bar.
There will also be plenty of activities for children to enjoy like the two waterslides, kid’s camp, swimming, games, and many other adventures.
Enjoy Marvelous New Eateries That Will Delight Your Taste Buds
Wonderful new bars and eateries will be presented on the Carnival Sunrise including Cucina Del Capitano, which is an Italian trattoria-style eatery that has a DIY pasta bar and a variety of other Italian favorites, all for only $15 per person.
Another wonderful addition is the complimentary Guy’s Pig and Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse, which was developed by Guy Fieri of Food Network fame and is a casual eatery with smoked meats and savory side dishes served al fresco on the Carnival Sunrise’s Lido Deck. The new eateries have been the most current additions on Carnival’s newest ships and are popular places that guests often visit for a great meal.
Bonsai Sushi Express will surely delight sushi lovers with made-to-order, a la carte, sashimi and more selections served for lunch and dinner. Carnival cruise deals also include access to the Red Frog Pub which is a great hangout spot to play bar games while you enjoy Caribbean-style food, plus drinks and custom beer. Beef lovers can enjoy succulent steak dinners at the upscale Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse for $35 per adult and $10 for children less than 11 years of age.
Carnival’s COO Gus Antorcha states that, “These new dining spaces and features complement many of Carnival’s signature food and beverage outlets that were added during the previous renovations, including Guy’s Burger Joint, developed in tandem with Guy Fieri. Carnival’s investments are part of an overall plan that is raising the bar on ship amenities and features, itineraries and offshore excursions that our gests are loving.”
