Where can I take a cruise out of Texas or Louisiana?

The New cruise passenger terminal in Port of Houston opens in November 2013.

ATTENTION: This blog was recently updated with new information in August 2019.

Port of Galveston

Galveston, Texas will continue to be a popular cruise port because the city draws tourists based on its historic downtown, 32-miles of beaches, restaurants, activities, and entertainment. Take a history lesson by watching The Great Storm movie, which is a dramatic film about the Great Storm of 1900 (shown daily at Pier 21 Theatre).

From the George Bush International Airport, it takes under an hour to take a shuttle to the cruise terminal, and even less from Hobby International.

TIP: We recommended you include the shuttle in with your cruise package to ensure the timeframe of travel is sufficient to get on the boat with as little worry as possible.
